Subject: Happy Birthyear, Lisa!
Last year, Lisa declared 2010 was to be the "year of Lisa" in celebration of her 50th "birthyear." True to her word, she's gone to the wine country with her Mom (who turned 70 earlier this year), gone to Florida with girlfriends, gone to St. Louis for her actual birthday, and partied like it's the end of the last millennium.
There's a metric boat-load of photos from her birthday party, and you can thoroughly enjoy them in living color or less thoroughly tolerate them in the printer-friendly version. In the meantime, here's a morsel of bullet points:
- I spent several days in San Francisco hosting a client at our corporate offices. Inspired by the World Cup, the Sales Associate Manager outside the EBC was dressed as a referee and giving deserving employees "yellow cards for awesomeness." I love this company
- On the phone from the Bay Area, I asked Jack to let me talk to Lisa. He replied, "Thank you, I'll now transfer your call." If nothing else, he's got a future in the call center industry
- Upon their return from St. Louis, Jack pointed to his Hard Rock Cafe sweatshirt and exclaimed: "I got merchandise!" A few seconds later, Cate pointed to her Hard Rock Cafe necklace and exclaimed: "I got bling!" Surveying the scene, I decided: I've got teenagers!
That's it for now!
